Trademark Usage Guidelines
Only those who are authorized by Solatube New Zealand, in a signed written agreement, may use any of its trademarks
(“Solatube Marks”), and if so authorized, must comply
with the following trademark usage guidelines:
- USE APPROPRIATE SYMBOLS:
The appropriate symbol
must appear in the first, most prominent use of each Solatube Marks,
but may be omitted for convenience in subsequent uses in the same
body of text. The symbol should appear in superscript font on the
upper right shoulder of the Solatube Marks. For example: Solatube® Note: When
unable to display the symbol in the form shown above, it is acceptable
to instead use “(R)” or “(TM)” immediately
following the Solatube Marks. For example: Solatube(R)
- THE SOLATUBE MARKS SHOULD STAND OUT:
Use bold
face, italics,
ALL CAPITALS or Initial Capitals when using the Solatube Marks
so they stand out from the rest of the text. For example: Solatube® SOLATUBE® or
Solatube®
- USE HOUSE MARK AND PRODUCT MARK:
The Solatube® house
mark must appear before the first, most prominent use of a Solatube
product mark, on the same line. For example: Solatube® Brighten
Up® Series daylighting system.
- USE SOLATUBE MARKS AS ADJECTIVES, NOT NOUNS
OR VERBS:
Solatube
Marks are adjectives, and should be used together with the generic
terms they modify.

The words “tubular skylights” or similar generic
product terms should immediately follow any Solatube Marks. For
example |

Solatube Marks should not be used as nouns. For example: |

Solatube Marks should not be used as verbs. For example: |

Solatube Marks should not be used in a plural or possessive form. For example: |

SOLATUBE’s tubular skylights will brighten your day. |

- USE SOLATUBE MARKS IN EXACT FORM:
Solatube Marks should not be
altered in any way or used as clever play on words. For example:

- USE APPROPRIATE OWNERSHIP LEGENDS:
The appropriate ownership
legend must be displayed at least once in any materials where Solatube
Marks are used. Such legend should list all Solatube Marks used
in the materials and would generally read as follows: “Solatube
and sun logo are registered trademarks of Solatube New Zealand”
